It sure feels like it.
With the weather in the 60s in just mid February it feels like it is spring time already! Brides are even starting to come in to order their spring and summer invitation suites, it’s hard not to get spring fever a little bit early here at Cardinal and Straw! From destination weddings on the beach to backyard weddings, our minds are wondering through the spring color palettes of 2012.
Unlike 2011, we won’t be seeing too much of a vintage theme reappearing this year. This year’s focus will be on going BOLD. Last September, the Pantone fashion color report for spring 2012 announced the top ten colors for women’s fashion. With “Tangerine Tango” and “Solar Power” taking the lead, you can expect to see a lot of bright, vivacious colors this spring. Try a mood-altering pop of color on your save the date or invitation and give your guests something optimistic to look forward to this spring!
Not willing to venture too far from a classic invitation? Try soft greens and lilacs together for a subtle spring touch. These two colors also mesh well with a delicate brown or teal.
Looking for some contrast? Try a bright yellow combined with navy blue to catch your guest’s attention!
