A Valentine's Day Inspired Message

Written by Emily Mistretta

I am so lucky to have this job.  Really! I get to do what I love – design pretty things all day! Plus I get to work side-by-side my husband, two darling “sisters,” and my two furry children, Fenway and Manny.  But best of all, I get to meet the most lovely brides.  That of course, comes with the territory of working in the wedding industry, but I am really fortunate because my brides include me in so many aspects of their big day and beyond.  It usually starts with a freshly engaged bride ready to share the news of her engagement with a save the date project…a few months later we start the big task of designing all of the details of her wedding invitation suite and then a few months after that all of the day-of-wedding printing – ceremony programs, cocktail napkins, seating charts, favor labels, welcome bags – you name it!

But why I am REALLY lucky is that I am one of the few wedding vendors who often doesn’t end the relationship there.  I absolutely love it when I get an email or phone call from one of my lovelies the next year – looking to design bridal shower invitations for her bestie, or wanting to create a personalized Christmas card with a wedding photograph.  It’s always so fun to catch up!  And then, my favorite phone calls? When that bride calls me a couple of years after that because she needs birth announcements for her first sweet angel!  The birthday invitations follow, Christmas cards from baby the next  year…well, you get the picture!  I cherish my job and the relationships I build with the women who walk through my door.

Thanks so much to those of you who have fallen into my life and are reading this! I feel blessed to know each of you!

xoxo, Emily

Like I said, it is so exciting receiving a call from a bride from the past wanting a “birth announcement”!
The announcement can have as many adorable newborn pictures as you prefer.
